So, some people assume you're a lezzie just because you have very short hair?
"Oh, big time! See, I used to have real long hair, but I got sick of it and had it all cut off right after I turned 18. My mom would never let me cut it before, but then she couldn't say no. Anyway, the first day I went back to school after getting my hair cut short, you wouldn't believe how many of the girls made rude remarks. Like, this one girl Jasmine, who thinks she's all that, said, 'So, Mallory, how does your girlfriend like your new hair cut? You must be the butch one!'"
So, what did the males in your school have to say?
"You know what? They were actually very cool about it. A couple of the guys said, 'Wow, you look totally different!' and stuff like that, but none of them said nasty things like some of the girls did. Guys know when you're into them and not into girls, but some girls get jealous, and then they get mean!"
Would you ever try getting lezzie, or are you only attracted to the opposite sex?
"That's funny you asked 'cause, you know what? I actually thought about that since this whole haircut thing started. Even though I'm sure I'm into guys more, if I thought a girl was cute and nice and she liked me back, then, yeah, you never know what could happen. But just 'cause I'm the one with the short hair doesn't mean that I'd want her to expect me to act like the guy when we were having sex!"
